Yaxhá Morning Tour

Visit this ancient Maya site with exquisite views of Lake Yaxhá.

8:00am Shared shuttle from Isla de Flores to Yaxhá National Park and 8:15am shared shuttle from the FRS Airport to Yaxhá National Park. 9:45am Arrival at Yaxhá National Park. Our tour lasts four hours and combines flora, fauna, and archaeology. Our visit begins at the minor astronomical observation group and then climbs one of the original causeways that lead us to the eastern acropolis, where the Temple of the Red Hands is located. You can climb to the top, where the view is spectacular. From above the jungle canopy, you can see the buildings of the Northern Acropolis, Yaxhá Lagoon, and Sacnab Lagoon. On the way down, we will visit the North Acropolis, the Plaza de las Sombras, the larger astronomical observation complex, and the ball court, walking along its imposing causeways. Late Lunch (beverages and tips not included)

2:30pm Shared shuttle to the FRS airport and Flores hotels for a 4pm arrival.
